Chiropractic care focuses on identifying and correcting misalignments in the spine, known as subluxations, which can cause pain and discomfort. Through gentle adjustments, chiropractors restore proper alignment, reducing nerve interference and promoting the body's natural healing abilities.
Yes. The 3 most important things in choosing any doctor, therapist or even hairdresser are:
1) Do I feel a connection (or good rapport) with them?
2) Does their approach make sense to me?
3) Do I feel comfortable and safe in their space?
The Induction allows you to explore all of these things before spending any time, money or energy in the wrong place.
Many people seek relief at ChiroLife for spinal discomfort, including lower, mid, and neck pain. Stiffness, limited mobility, and persistent headaches or migraines can significantly impact daily life. If you experience these symptoms or other nerve-related issues like numbness, tingling, or burning sensations in your limbs, chiropractic care can provide effective relief.
Chiropractic adjustments don’t hurt, however following the adjustment there may be some muscles and ligaments that will need to adapt to your new movement and posture. This can sometimes cause some soreness and stiffness in certain areas, this is fairly common and quite normal but usually only lasts a day or two. If you’ve ever started a new exercise you’ll know that this is naturally accompanied by some soreness and tenderness. Putting an ice pack on the area for 10-20 minutes can help.
The cracking or popping noise when you receive an adjustment is called cavitation and is gas being released from the joints. This is normal.
This depends on your goals and the known healing times for the tissues involved. Muscles typically take 5-6 weeks to heal while spinal discs and ligaments take 3 months to 1 year to heal. It is important to bear in mind that healing continues long after pain has gone.
This depends on a few factors:
1) the chronicity of your condition – whether it has been weeks, months or years will play a big part. Remembering that the pain might have only come at the end of months or years of underlying problems.
2) The severity of your condition is also an important factor that your Chiropractor will be able to advise on. In the report the Chiropractor will outline the problem and tell you based on your history, examination and X-rays how long it should typically take to feel better.
3) Your age and overall health also play a role. A 15 year old will heal much more quickly than a 60 year old. A sedentary smoker will take longer to heal than an active well nourished person, of the same age.
This varies from person to person. Please see above How long does it take to feel better?
